Mrs. Lauren Cummings is passionate about creating engaging library experiences that inspire students to read, learn, explore, and discover new possibilities. With 13 years of experience in education, she is committed to supporting students, teachers, and campuses across our district through strong library programs and a love of learning.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Woman’s University and her Master of Library Science from East Texas A&M University-Commerce. Her goal is to help make our school libraries welcoming spaces where every student can find a great book, access meaningful resources, ask questions, and develop a lifelong love of reading and learning.
Her favorite quote reflects her belief in the importance of libraries:
“The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library.”
— Albert Einstein
She looks forward to partnering with our students, staff, and families to make our libraries places where curiosity grows, stories come to life, and every learner feels welcome.
